ASA +Pro 1.75mm Filament, Premium 3D Printer Filament

Tired of your 3D prints fading or cracking when left outdoors? ASA is an extremely durable 3D printer material that features all the toughness and impact resistance of ABS, with the added benefits of heat, chemical and UV resistance. (10x more UV resistant than ABS to be exact). It is little wonder that ASA is the material of choice for interior components in the automotive industry where high temperatures and prolonged UV exposure are required. This blend of ASA is designed to perform in outdoor applications.

  • Print Speed: 30 – 80 mm/s
  • Printing Temperature: 230 – 260°C
  • Build Bed Temperature: 100 – 120°C
  • Retraction Speed: 30 – 50 mm/s
  • Retraction Distance: 3 – 10 mm
  • Cooling Fan: Yes
  • Filament Type: ASA+
  • Printer Type: Cartesian/Delta
  • Extruder Type: Direct Drive/Bowden Tube
  • Layer Height: 0.1 – 0.3mm
  • Fill Density: 0 – 100%
  • Shell Thickness: >0.4mm

*Not all 3D printers are the same. This makes giving temperature advice difficult. Consider the suggested printing temperature as a starting point to be fine tuned as you experiment and print with our material. Don’t be afraid to go above or below our suggested temperatures if it results in better quality prints.

What is ASA filament?

ASA filament is a type of 3D printing filament that is similar to ABS filament in terms of its physical properties and printability, but with improved weather resistance and UV stability. ASA stands for acrylonitrile styrene acrylate, which is a terpolymer of the three monomers.

ASA filament is known for its high strength and durability, which makes it suitable for printing outdoor applications, such as garden or pool equipment, automotive parts, or signage. It has a similar melting point to ABS filament, typically around 220-250°C, which makes it easy to print on most 3D printers.

One of the key benefits of ASA filament is its excellent weather resistance, which allows it to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat, and humidity without degrading or losing its color. It also has good chemical resistance, making it resistant to many common solvents and acids.

While ASA filament shares many properties with ABS, it has some important differences, including improved printability, reduced warping and shrinkage, and improved layer bonding. It also has a smoother surface finish than ABS filament, which makes it easier to post-process and paint.

One thing to note is that ASA filament can still release potentially harmful fumes when heated, so it’s important to print in a well-ventilated area or to use a printer with an enclosed printing chamber that can capture the fumes. It’s also important to note that ASA is not biodegradable, so it should be properly disposed of or recycled at the end of its useful life.

FilaLabs Next Level Printing

Precision engineered to industry leading tolerances (±0.03mm) using advanced laser technology, our filaments make possible silky smooth prints with perfect layer adhesion resulting in stronger prints with no variations in surface quality. Our filaments are orderly and uniformly wound on each spool ensuring a jam and kink free printing experience. Made from only pure feedstock and vibrant pigments, our filaments are available in a multitude of vibrant colours and is compatible with all 1.75mm filament fed 3D printers from your favourite manufacturers like Prusa, Creality, Monoprice, FlashForge and more.

Our Filament Quality

Clog-Free & Bubble-Free

  • Designed and manufactured with clog-free patent to guarantee a smooth and stable printing experience. Complete drying for 24 hours before packaging and vacuum sealed with desiccants in a transparent bag.

Less -tangle and Easy to Use

  • Full mechanical winding and strict manual examination, to make sure the line tidy and less-tangle, so as to avoid possible snap and line breaking; Larger spool inner diameter design makes feeding smoother

Dimensional Accuracy & Consistency

  • Advanced CCD diameter measuring and self-adaptive control system in the manufacturing guarantee these filaments of 1.75 mm diameter, dimensional accuracy + / – 0.03 mm, 1 kg spool (2.2lbs)

Cost-effective and Wide Compatibility

  • With over 8 years’ 3D filaments R & D experience, thousands tons of filaments output every month, we are capable of manufacturing all kinds of filaments in large scale with premium quality, which contribute to filament cost-effective and reliable for most common 3D printers, such as MK3, Ender 3, Monoprice FlashForge and more

took a few tries to get settings on cura good but have now gotten some of the best prints ive seen with this filament! made an rpm gauge holder for my datsun 720 and works great and since its heat and impact resistant shouldn’t melt on my dash in summer
